So, hi, guys. I’ve been in $AMC since late January and have been incrementally buying shares via cash app and then webull. My question is how many people on here haven’t told anyone that they’re in AMC? I know this is counter to growing the movement but i also know that my wife would’ve either KILLED me if she knew I was actively growing my position in AMC or even insist I close out my position because of how much I’m up (roughly 2X).

It feels weird to not tell anyone but at the same time, I absolutely agree with the point that Gabe made about not telling anyone once the squeeze has squoze and we get our tendies.

Anyway, just wanted to see who here was in the same boat. I’m HODLing til it POPS for sure.

I bought AMC a little over a month ago. My daughter is the only person that knows. I specifically told her not to tell anyone. I don’t think she has. She’s 24 yrs old. I’ve watched Gabe’s videos I agree especially after this moons not to tell anyone. I’ve watched other videos and advice such as lottery winners, they say don’t tell anyone if you win a huge chunk of $$. Plus, if AMC is blamed for tanking the market I don’t want anyone to know for some time. I don’t have many friends do I guess that’s cool.

I have a pretty small circle of friends as well. I’m also just more of a work on something behind the scenes and let people find out about it kind of guy. It actually bugs me when people post things like “Wait til you see what I’ve got cookin! :D” and then they miraculously don’t ever have anything to show for it.

The weird thing about not telling anyone is it helps to temper my elation and disappointment because it’s just me that knows. Though not telling your wife financial decisions isn’t necessarily the best thing to do when you’re married, at least I can surprise her and be like “Hey, babe. We are kind of millionaires…”

I guess so. Take your time to figure out how to present it to her when this goes to Pluto. I’m a single female. I’m off work for the summer. So I just go online and chat about it with other apes. I’ve always hid information like this bcz ppl can get jealous and wish bad on you. I’m very superstitious like that. For me, it started with me looking for a house to buy several months ago and realized I needed more $ for a down payment. Houses went up quickly in price everywhere. My goal is to move out of this town and buy a house. Then AMC was trending on Twitter and I was like oh let’s see what’s going on with AMC. I did not intend to get in the market this year, but I did only with AMC. Bought xxx shares then did a weekend of AMC video catch up. All I really want is to buy a house and hopefully find a nice man relationship minded. I’m a female Gen Xer. I don’t plan to tell any future BFs until I know them very well.

Yeah, def keep it quiet with someone you’re considering starting a relationship. That can change the dynamic. But as time progresses how we look at the world and interact with people is going to change. There’s no way that amount of money can’t.

I don’t think she’ll be too pissed when she sees how many zeros we have in our account but it’s definitely something that has to be revealed the right way. I’ll figure it out once I get there. Hell, even now seeing the amounts in my brokerage accounts is REALLY weird in a good way. It’s change my current life money but not change the rest of my life money.

Gabe’s advice on when it happens is spot on. Def let it sit in your account for a couple of weeks. Def be strategic with it. I wouldn’t buy anything straight up with cash aside from minor purchases or opportunities that allow the cash to work for you. Even buying rentals, I’d look into using financing and then use the rental income to pay it off. Time value of money is key and being able to leverage what you have is such a powerful thing.

I do a little recruiting at work, so does my fiance. But we’ve made the decision not to discuss it with any family.

The work friends aren’t really friends, and let’s be honest, not gonna be working there when this moons lol.

I was two months in before my fiance joined. After a lot of questions, and some deep dives on what we suspect is happening, and who is responsible she decided “fuck them” and doubled our position.❤️

I wouldn’t say I’m a closet ape but I never mention AMC to those close to me, well I told a few younger cousins and my baby moms. My baby moms bought one share at about $13.59 and I believe she sold it in the $50-60 range. Such a paperhands smh, so she’s pretty much on her own when the shit hits the fan. She don’t want to listen to reason then she can work it on out by herself, my baby will be living the good life with her daddy. Some people don’t want to sacrifice now to live better later, they think they living good now and going to be crying later. I post stories on FB all the time with ape themed memes but most probably think I’m a crazy person, unless they an undercover fellow ape or decided to look into all this ape stuff. I’d rather they find out about AMC and GME on their own. I never post the memes with the actual AMC or GME ticker, it’ll just be ape related. I did send out a few direct messages warning a few people I like (those younger cousins I mentioned earlier) and a few other people that have been kind to me in the past to get in, I’m not sure if they did or not. Most don’t seem to be taking this thing serious. This one ex bought some partial shares on cashapp and I believe her husband bought 3. I first told her when it was in the $9-10 range and she finally got him into it at the $30-33 range and I think that she bought her partials a little before that in the $18-20 range. It’s like why don’t people listen, I gave her all my best DD. More info than I shared with anyone else that I told about it and that’s what you do with a once in a lifetime opportunity. Her excuse is she doesn’t have money but I’m sure she’s finding money for other crap. I don’t get people, it’s beyond frustrating but fck ’em. All we can say is we tried apes…

Some people just won’t believe it until it happens. It’s still kind of surreal to me but I think that’s just because something to this magnitude has never happened in the stock market. All you can do is share with them and let them form their own conclusions. Part of the reason I haven’t told anyone is because I don’t want to deal with having to justify it. The other reason is I don’t want people to be like “I heard AMC just went to the moon. Can you hook me up? I know you got it…”

I tried talking about this and ETH to a couple people and family back around March and was pretty much blown off. Haven’t bothered saying anything sense.

When it’s done, I’m not saying anything then either.

It is what it is. If the impact ends up being as huge as we expect everyone who heard about and didn’t jump in will think “Damn, I remember when I had the opportunity to buy in at X”. Even from my perspective, I kinda wish I hadn’t started buying into BTC at the same time and just put the over $3k I’ve accumulated toward that. BTC is a super long term hold for me, but having that in AMC now would’ve been even crazier.

I”m long on a few crypto myself. I feel investors like you will see your BTC recover fully in the not-too-distant and then see it start going back up from there. I actually hope it holds these silly lows until after the squeeze as I’d love to grab a few at a discount, but I’m getting into BTC and increasing my other crypto when it’s over no matter what.

Depending on how red your BTC is I doubt it would be valid still at this point to sell BTC to buy AMC, for example, since you’d have to make up that loss to begin with before even considering the profit. Stay long. BTC to me is one to buy, add to a little when you can, but don’t really even look at it for 1 year.

Oh, no. My BTC money is staying where it’s at. I’ve been able to get to over .07 BTC. I’m about -1k. But as it keeps staying low I’m like “Why are you making me buy you!?” I’ve only been doing it at $50 a purchase but it’s definitely adding up. Still kinda wish I had just dumped it all in AMC but I’m able to progressively lower my basis in it which is a good thing cuz I definitely see it popping. It’s never been a short term play for me. It’s more a hedge against inflation.
