Hello everyone hope you all are having a great weekend. I have a question for those that have transferred out of robinhood. I initiated my transfer on Thursday and it’s giving a projected date of the 31st to be complete. Does it usually take that long?

    Hey, PaleWolf,
    Having a fantastic Saturday!
My RH transfer to Webull took nine business days for my positions to transfer over and an additional five business days for any buying power I had left to sweep over. ACAT transfers take place in a series of sweeps. The first sweep, they transfer your positions and they conduct “residual sweeps” after.

Personally I tried a few weeks ago, ended up getting rejected. So I’m leaving it be. Most of my shares are on RH and WB, with stragglers on TorS and E*TRADE. With some of the restrictions. I didn’t want to be in a decision that I couldn’t make moves.

I transferred from RH to Webull like 2 weeks ago. It only took 3 day’s. But it takes 60 days to change the average cost if u also have shares on Webull

Hello all. I am very new to all of this and am wondering why it is important to transfer out of Robin Hood. Just got into this to get in on the whole AMC squeeze and want to make sure I’m not messing up in anyway by using RH. Thank you all, in advance, for any guidance!

Thank you everyone for the input. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take too long and I don’t potentially miss out.

    Ello Apes,

I tried executing a partial xfer from RH to TDA last week and got rejected (they do not state why nor did I call to confirm, I assume its because I had unsettled funds which were the $75 xfer fee).

Once they settled I executed another partial xfer but this time to Fidelity (which seemed easier because their wizard guides you to making an additional acct that’s compatible to RH’s, which is margin), took 2 days.

Be sure to record your cost basis info since they don’t carry over and you’ll have to manually edit it after the xfer.

Without looking it up, I’m going to ask. Is it possible to transfer from RH to Fidelity? Also, what happens to your partial shares?

What do you Apes think? Is it now too late to try this transfer?

I ain’t risking. Most shares are on Webull. RH will have a huge lawsuit if they do it again.

@Bill it’s not too late but ultimately it’s your call. The longer you wait, the more risk you run. Also, it would be a lot easier to sell on your terms using a solid broker now than fighting in court in a class action law suit much later down the road. Let the decision be yours, not the lawyers.

Thanks! What would you consider a solid platform? I have opened an account with both Fidelity and Webull. Which would you transfer too? I’m in this to change my life and what to maximize gains!

I haven’t tried Webull but I’m currently on Fidelity. Fidelity’s tools are ok (seems dated compared to other platforms) but it does get the job done. They also have excellent fulfillment. All of my orders have been filled extremely fast and sometimes I get price improvements. Their platform seems solid (haven’t dealt with any outages) and their customer service has been great on the few occasions I’ve talked with them. I might venture out to other platforms only to get more experience with them, but Fidelity has been good to me so far.

What’s up Apes. My transfer from RH to TDA was completed Monday. My first request was canceled by RH for what seemed like no reason at all. Neither RH nor TDA could give me any reasoning for this, it just showed as ‘canceled’ after about 24 hours. TDA resubmitted to RH, and it was completed after approximately 72 hours. Both requests were for partial transfers.

One thing I’d like to stress is how good TDA’s customer service is. I mean they are absolutely top-notch – right up there with Apple in my experience. Trading interface is a bit clunky and complicated for me but their customer service made up for that with me. Besides, the interface will only come into play one time when I hit sell after AMC reaches 100k. 😉

Good luck to everyone. You HODL for me, I’ll HODL for you. 🦍 💰 🚀
